Club Live is a youth led action group that meets on junior high school campuses across Butte County. Club Live builds leadership skills, broadens young peoples social network, and implements youth led projects designed to improve school climate and reduce youth access to alcohol.
Bidwell Club Live meets on Wednesdays during lunch. The 7th graders meet during their lunch in room 401. The 8th graders meet during their lunch in room 401 also.

Bidwell Club Live has had a busy year, lets keep it up!!
During our last meeting on February 22nd, 2012 we had awesome meetings for both 7th and 8th grade lunch! Each group had a chance to participate in defining and sharing the definitions of Club Live and the Merchant Committed Project. As they challenged each other and the other groups, we had made a fun game out of it!
We then spoke about our EP (Environmental Prevention) Project and the updates that have been made. This project is called "Merchant Committed: to stopping underage drinking." Last week we had a chance to go into PV Market and start our first phase known as "Merchant Education". During "Merchant Education" a group of students told the store owner and their employees the statistics, facts and policies on alcohol use in Butte County. As we wait to hear in the store wants to participate in the next phases, the Club Live students share their experiences with the other members. This was a great first step, learning experience and leadership opportunity for all Club Live members.

Random Acts of Kindness is a project that is designed to improve the way students feel when they're on campus. So, every month, Club Live chooses a theme for Random Acts of Kindness. Then Club Live chooses a "random act" of kindness for each week of that month and challenges the entire student body to participate in the act that was chosen for the week. On Fridays, teachers nominate students who were caught "in the act" and Club Live will reward those students the following Monday. Students can also earn Bidwell Bucks for doing the random act of kindness each week. Students are made aware of the random act eack week through posters, lunch time activities and the bulletin announcement. Club Live challenges students to do the random act as much as possible; the more the better!!!

Jan. 30-3rd: Tell one of your teachers why you like having them as a teacher! It would make their day!
Feb. 6-10: Sit with someone who's alone at lunch (or invite them to sit with your group)! :D So proud of our Club Live Students we have seen that have participated in this weeks challenge!
Feb 13-17: Let someone go ahead of you in the lunch line or share a cookie with a friend on wed brought to you by Club Live!
Feb 20-24: Clean up someone else's mess at lunch.
Feb 27-March 2- Share your lunch with someone who doesn't have one.
Are YOU up to the challenge? Remember these challeneges can be practiced all year long and on a daily basis. You should always be looking for ways to help make someones day better!
